Damer Court is an independent living housing complex situated on Upper Wellington Street, just a few minutes walk from O'Connell Street in the city of Dublin. For more than a third of a century, on this site, we have provided accommodation to members of the wider Protestant community in need of a place to stay. Arising out of the benevolent culture of early eighteenth-century Dublin, we are one of the oldest charities in the city. We are equipped to cater for those who are self-caring or can sustain themselves in life without help. For the greater part, Damer Court is home to persons in regular employment, those of retirement age, students and trainees.
Damer Court is administered by a board of governors (mainly Church of Ireland members) with day-to-day operations being under the supervision of a house manager and assistants who offer full 24 hour supervision throughout the year. The Chairman of our Board is the Very Reverend Dermot Dunne, Dean of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin. The Venerable David Pierpoint, Archdeacon of Dublin, is also a member of the Board and he acts as chaplain to Damer Court.
